I have run my own businesses for over 30 years. I started in NZ as a sole owner and over the years expanded into Australia, the US and UK. There were a lot of hiccups along the way.​

Running a small business can be difficult.

 

Most often it is lonely. 

​

Sometimes you just need someone independent to run ideas by.

 

Looking back, some of my best ideas were never implemented simply because of doubt. Not talking it through with someone who is fully independent (not a part of the business or family or friends) means doubt seeps in and ultimately it doesn't happen. This is, in my opinion, the biggest reason small businesses fail to deliver on the hopes and dreams of the owner.

Whether you have started your own business because you have a dream of a bigger and better business or simply to allow you more time and feedom to spend with family, it is highly likely that you have found the reality does not quite match the dream.

​

But it can - you just need to have some faith in yourself and someone independent in your corner to support you.

A bit about me

After 30 plus years in business,I have made every mistake in the book and even found some new ones. I am not perfect and neither have my businesses been.

​

For many years prior to Covid, I had offices in NZ, Australia, the USA and UK. This meant managing staff and clients from a distance much of the time.

​

With great staff, systems and excellent communication, we thrived and I am proud many of our clients have remained loyal since the beginning when I was just one person with a dream and a company name.​

I am an advocate. I love to help people.

​

I am a CXEX expert. If you have a customer service problem, I can offer solutions you may not have thought of.

​

I am a problem solver; whether it be staff, customer service, technology, systems or just an all round overhaul.

​

I am a systems expert. If you need to streamline your work load so you have more time to work on your business (not in it) then I can help without breaking the bank.

I am an ideas sounding board. Want to bounce some ideas around without hitting the “oh you can’t do that” feedback you may get from family and friends. It is my experience that the ideas other people don’t support are very often the best ideas but sadly they are rarely implemented.​

Customer Service

 

It is widely acknowledged that for every $1 invested in CX the return is $2+. Not only do you retain customers, but you convert those customers to passionate, loyal advocates for your business.


A great customer experience is not an accident, it is designed.

 

Customer experience is how the people, place, and processes of your business come together to form an impression on the customer. An effective CX strategy however goes deeper and well beyond these toplines. This is and should be an ongoing process within the company no matter how large or small.

Systems

Efficient, effective systems can change your life. They can automate simple tasks and free up time for working on your business and having a life outside of work.

A great system can also enhance the customer experience which in itself will positively impact the company's profit.

​

The trick is to find and install systems that do all of the above but are affordable. You don't need multiple on line automations - you just need a system that is tailored to your business and the

way you work, or want to work.

Working with me

First we have a phone chat to decide if I am the right person for you and if I think I can offer, if not solutions, then at least some fresh ideas to consider. This is not a hard sell "strategy call".  It is simply fact finding - for both of us.  

​

If we decide we are a good fit then we can progress to the next stage which is committment. Don't be scared off. If you are committed to your business and its success then you will find the committment to my services relatively easy. ​​​​​​​​​​​

​

As a small business owner, I have seen tough times and I know how finding even a relatively small sum can seem a stretch at times. If you want to say goodbye to that feeling of helplessness and frustration then I believe I can help you.

Sometimes the answer is to walk away from a business which is not bringing you the results you need or want. I have done it. It's the hardest decision of all but when one door closes another invariably opens. I can help you navigate this, if it is what you decide to do. ​

Finally - I prefer to work on a business in a creative way which then naturally and organically leads to growth and much less stress for you. I try to make the growth process fun for you and your staff (if you have them). If it's not enjoyable, why are you doing it?

Costs

​The first call is free and is a fact finding mission - for us both. Are we a good fit? Can I help you? Do you want or need my particular style of help? If not, I may be able to refer you to experts in the field you need. 

 

If we decide to work together it's simple. We can design a package to suit your business or you can buy my premium package.

 

My premium package is 20 hours of my time. This tells me you are serious about moving forward with your business. You can use this 20 hours to sound board, to problem solve, to get help setting up systems, HR assistance, customer service, - anything I can do to help you with your business - to help it thrive.

The cost for the initial 20 hours is $3500 plus GST. You can use this time in 1 week, 2 weeks or longer - up to 6 months. ​

​

Just a note for clarity. All legal and financial questions regarding your business must go through your lawyer and accountant.
